AngelSpace grew out of a desire to establish a central space where young people from churches around the Diocese could come together and explore their Christian faith via a variety of spiritual expressions.

AngelSpace does not seek to replace the work going on in churches throughout the Diocese, but it aims to give the young people who come the chance to experience a different type of church which they might then feel able to invite their friends to.

The Cathedral was thought to be an ideal place to initially base the event. The “mysterious space” of the Cathedral Crypt will provide a perfect setting for the activities on offer during the evening.

However, AngelSpace does not stop at the Cathedral doors. Once we’ve established what AngelSpace is about, we plan to take it out to deaneries and parishes and put on AngelSpaces in local churches.
